During our Thursday meeting time we went down to “the cage” where our workspace is located to work on organizing and salvage parts off last years Scorpio bot.
Last week we finally picked out the components to use for our drive system / mockup combat robot. The drive motors will be from standard Dewalt 18v cordless NiCad drills. We were able to find a good deal on Amazon Warehouse for drill + battery kit that will provided sufficient drive power plus also give us a spare set of batteries we can use for testing until we make the large purchase of A123 LiFePO4.
